WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CALL PREMIER MEDICAL ACCESS BEFORE OR AFTER ITS NORMAL OFFICE HOURS OF MONDAY – FRIDAY (8AM – 5PM)?

Premier Medical Access does not provide emergency care services. If you call before or after normal office hours and it is not an emergency situation, we ask that you to please leave a voice mail and one of our Premier Medical Service nurse technicians will return your call within 24 hours or the next business day the office is open.
If you have an emergency situation, we ask you to call the nearest hospital emergency room for help. A list of hospitals and emergency room numbers can be found on our website, in the information packets provided to each member and in the “Notes” section of the v-cards we send to each Premier Medical Access member.

WHAT IF I NEED AN AMBULANCE?

If you need an ambulance and it is during the normal operating hours for Premier Medical Access, we can make arrangements for an ambulance. Any costs associated with ambulatory transportation is not covered by your annual membership fee. Please check with your insurer as some insurance covers some or all of the cost of ambulance services.
If you need an ambulance at a time when Premier Medical Access is not open, a list of ambulance companies and their respective telephone numbers can be found on our website, in the information packets provided to each member and in the “Notes” section of the v-cards we send to each Premier Medical Access member.


HOW DOES PREMIER MEDICAL ACCESS WORK WITH MY HEALTH INSURANCE?

Where many concierge medical services will not accept insurance and require its members to pay “cash,” with Premier Medical Access; you can keep and use your insurance to cover your medical visits.
Membership to Premier Medical Access does not interfere with your insurance and is not a replacement for your insurance. Upon enrollment, members will provide Premier Medical Access all your insurance information. This information will be emailed to your Premier Medical Access doctors in advance of a scheduled appointment. Upon visiting the doctor you will be responsible for any co-payments required by your insurance carrier.

CAN MY MEMBERSHIP FEE BE PAID FROM A HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT (“HSA”) OR SIMILAR MEDICAL SAVINGS ACCOUNT?

Please speak to your tax advisor. Premier Medical Access does not provide any tax advice. Certain fees for concierge medical services may qualify for tax-free withdrawals. Often this determination is made based on the specifics of your HSA, flexible medical savings account, health reimbursement arrangement or Archer medical savings account.

DO MY MEMBERSHIP FEES COVER, TRANSPORTATION COSTS SUCH AS PRIVATE CAR SERVICES OR AMBULANCES?

No. Premier Medical Access provides its members a list of ambulance companies and transportation service companies. But members will be responsible for these additional transportation costs. (Please note some of these expenses may be covered by your insurance carrier.).

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE TO MOVE FROM PUERTO RICO DURING THE YEAR I AM ENROLLED AS A MEMBER?

In a case of a member moving from Puerto Rico during the membership term, under your Membership Agreement, Premier Medical Access is not obligated to refund you the unused portion of your membership fee.

CAN I CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP?

You may cancel your membership at any time. To cancel your membership, you must notify Premier Medical Access in writing. Your membership will be cancelled at the end of the calendar month in which Premier Medical Access receives your Member Cancellation Notice. Under the Membership Agreement, Premier Medical Access is not obligated to refund the unused portion of your membership fee. Premier Medical Access reserves the right to cancel a membership at any time for any reason.

I HAVE A (BUSINESS ASSOCIATE, FRIEND, ELDERLY RELATIVE) COMING TO VISIT FOR SEVERAL MONTHS, CAN I ENROLL THIS PERSON IN PREMIER MEDICAL ACCESS FOR THE TIME OF THEIR STAY?

Yes. Please call Premier Medical Access to discuss the form and cost such temporary membership will take.

IF I SCHEDULE A FOLLOW-ON VISIT WITH MY PREMIER MEDICAL ACCESS DOCTOR WITHOUT GOING THROUGH PREMIER MEDICAL ACCESS, WILL I STILL INCUR A $85 SCHEDULING FEE?

Yes. It is the typical practice for a patient to book follow-up visits with their doctor immediately after the initial appointment. We expect that for all future visits, as a Premier Medical Access member, you will want to enjoy the same prompt, high-level of service you enjoyed on your first visit. For this reason, the scheduling fee is incurred for each follow-on visit with a Premier Medical Access doctor.

HOW DO I FIND MY DOCTOR?

Premier Medical Access will provide you with your doctor’s address so that you may input it into your car’s GPS and Premier Medical Access will email, with your appointment, Google Maps turn-by-turn driving directions from your home to your doctor’s office.

WHAT DO I DO IF I CANNOT DRIVE MYSELF TO THE DOCTOR’S OFFICE?

Premier Medical Access has affiliated itself with a number of car service companies. We suggest that you contact one of the car service companies in the “Emergency Numbers” page. Please note that these car services are not covered by your annual membership fee and will be billed separately between you and the car service company.
